How to play
Every day there's one challenge: a small set of headlines, posts, or claims. One of them is manufactured — faked, inflated, or engineered to fool you. Your job is to spot it in about 60 seconds.
- Read the options.
- Pick the one you think is manufactured. You get one guess.
- See if you were right, and read the tell — the short explanation of why it's manufactured.
- Keep your streak going by coming back each day.
- Share your spoiler-free result with friends.
Our promise to you
- Free, always. No paywall, ever.
- Ad-free. No ads, no sponsors in the game.
- No tracking. No analytics, no cookies for advertising, no third-party trackers.
- No accounts, no database. Your streak is stored only in your own browser. We don't collect it.
- Built for teens. Age-appropriate, and we never put a real, named person in our examples — every scenario is made up to illustrate a pattern.
Why this exists
Manufactured Daily is a media-literacy game from America's Future, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. A lot of what shows up in your feed is manufactured to look more popular, more urgent, or more outrageous than it really is. Learning the tells is a skill — and skills get sharper with daily practice.
